Searching for the creative.
There’s something you ought to know. I have the type of personality that gets completely immersed in what I’m doing. When I book a client there are times that I’ll wake in the night, having dreamt of photos that I can take and the camera settings I’ll need to achieve them.
My inspiration strikes when I’m reading Harry Potter to my daughter at bedtime, taking in the work of great artists & creators in movies and photos, and when my Golden Retriever takes me for long walks in the woods.
The spark ignited.
I searched long and hard for a creative tool that would cooperate with me, so, when I found my language (a camera), you can imagine my sense of freedom and excitement. I needed to show people how I saw them and how I saw the world.
Photography has enabled me to feel settled in my search for purpose and restless in my yearning to achieve mastery.
I know everyone has a story as to how they arrived at their vocation. When our worlds collide… when my specialty meets yours… it’s a potion for something new that we get to bottle up together. Our collaboration is a mingling of what we’ve both done.
I approach my work and my clients with a combination of wonder, artistry, and a sense of duty.

Whenever a client and I would settle on a location I found myself saying “meet me here”.
Over time the phrase took on a deeper and less literal meaning. My best sessions were coming from the clients that met me on an energetic level. I would arrive elevated and excited and they would arrive invested in that way too. The energy captured by the camera became a symbol of the subject and their place in the world. Our working together is very much a relationship. I see time and time again how these photos change the lives of the clients and businesses in them. The photos enable not just the customers to see the businesses in an elevated manner, but for the clients to see themselves in that way too. Magic happens when you’re ready to be seen.
